Dr. B. V. Patel is a distinguished academic and researcher in microbiology with over 30 years of teaching and research experience. He served as Professor and Dean, Faculty of Science at Gujarat University. His work focuses on environmental microbiology, biotechnology, and soil microorganism studies, with 27 research publications and significant contributions to curriculum development and academic leadership.

Dr. Patel has coordinated several national and international conferences, served on various university councils, and led major academic initiatives such as NAAC accreditation and coordinated major academic reforms such as the Choice Based Credit System, and actively contributed to skill development initiatives through workshops, seminars, and student placement activities.
